See how LCMT Digital uses practical AI, automation and systems thinking to operate efficiently, scale carefully and build resilient ventures.

AI at the operating core

Technology is how LCMT Digital works. It brings together Richard Young’s long background in programming and systems management with practical AI, automation and connected tools.

AI is used to research opportunities, develop content, organise information, support repeatable workflows and help a lean business operate efficiently. The aim is not automation for its own sake. It is to build a business that is affordable to run, capable of scaling and resilient enough to maintain continuity when life intervenes.

LCMT Digital is not presenting itself as a broad AI consultancy. The technology is first proven inside the company’s own systems and ventures.

From smart-home hubs to practical AI

The Technology journey began with refurbished Dell OptiPlex Micro computers intended as preconfigured Home Assistant hubs. Damaged front bezels led Richard to learn 3D printing, buy a printer and design a replacement faceplate over a three-month development process.

That hands-on route—from hardware refurbishment and connected devices to prototyping and AI-led business systems—captures the principle behind LCMT Digital: learn what is needed, solve the real problem and keep improving the system.

SmartHomeStarterKits.uk records that original concept accurately while available, but the project is not currently promoted as a live shop or product catalogue. It may return later through a separate AI-led rebuild.
